About Kristen: Kristen Marie Huntington (b. 1989) was a joyful, culturally proud Inupiaq and Athabascan woman from Fairbanks.

A Friendship & Red Flags: Friend Flora Roddy noted early concerns about Kristen's boyfriend, Eric Rustad, at a baby shower in March 2019.

The Disappearance & Discovery: Kristen was reported missing Jan 10, 2020. Her body was tragically found Jan 12 in a vacant apartment, confirming foul play.

The Investigation: Evidence and witness accounts quickly pointed to Eric Rustad, revealing a history of escalating domestic violence against Kristen.

Justice: Eric Rustad pleaded guilty to second-degree murder on Aug 10, 2021. He was sentenced on Feb 1, 2023, to 50 years incarceration (eligible for parole after 33 years).
